Dans une architecture de virtualisation les VMSwitches servent à faire des échanges réseaux entre le réseaux physique et les VM, l’hyperviseur etc…

Vmswitches fonctionne comme un switch Physique permettant aux virtuelles machines de communiquer entre elles mais avec quelque restrictions. Il est possible d’accéder aux VMS depuis le réseau physique et à l’inverse. En cas de réseaux complexes où il y a plusieurs VLAN, les VMSwitches sont capable de tagguer et untagguer les requêtes entrant comme les switches manageable.

Pour connecter un virtual Machine elle doit avoir au moins une carte réseau virtuelle vNIC de la même manière qu’une machine physique.

Maintenant que l’on voit par la suite on voit le paramétrage de VmSwitch sur le serveur ESXi.

Dans ce scénario, le serveur procède 4 cartes réseau :

NOM d’interface ID du réseau
wmic 0 192.168.1.0/24
wmic 1 192.168.2.0/24
wmic 2 1982.168.3.0/24
wmic 3 192.168.4.0/24

Se connecter au serveur ESXi via vSPhere Client  :
Une fois connecté aller dans  l’onglet Configuration ensuite Mise En réseau et Ajouter une Mise En Réseau

vSphere Client -> Serveur ESXi -> Onglet Configuration -> Mise En Réseau -> Ajouter une Mise En Réseau

Machine Virtuelle permet d’ajouter un VMSwitch. VM Kernel sert à ajouter l’interface de Management sur la carte réseau physique du serveur, mettre une adresse IP et se connecter sur le  serveur.

Choisir  »Machine Virtuelle »

Sélectionner la carte réseau du serveur attachée au VMSwitch.

Étiquette Réseau :  Nom du VMSwitch, ID VLAN : Définir l’ID du VLAN, les requêtes qui sortent de ce VMSwitch seront tagguées au numéro VLAN Indiqué


Le résumé des paramètres définies dans les étapes précédentes.

Que l’on voit sur cette Image, tous les autres VMSwitches ont été créés.
Ensuite on va voir la création des interfaces de gestion N°3 sur les Vmswitches.

Aller dans les propriétés l’un des VMSwitches existant sur le serveur :

À droite de l’image il y a la prévision sur la configuration actuelle du Vmswitch. Cliquer sur Ajouter  :

Choisir VMKernel :

Type réseau  : IP (Par Défaut)

  • Obtenir automatiquement les paramètres IP:

La carte recherche un serveur DHCP pour récupérer ses paramètres IP

  • Utiliser les paramètres IP suivants :

Permettant de saisir les éléments manuellement :

  • Passerelle par défaut VMKernel :

Pour modifier la passerelle par défaut et DNS de la carte, Pour changer cliquer sur Modifier

Config. DNS : Définir le serveur DNS

Routage : Définir la passerelle par défaut de l’interface

Aperçu :

Affiche le résumé de la configuration de effectuée. Une fois les paramètres saisis, on clique sur Suivenst> à l’étape suinevnte

Pour finaliser cliquer sur Terminer :



En revenant sur cette fenêtre à sa droite on peut voir les paramètres IP effectuées dans les étapes précédantes.

Finalement après avoir configuré toutes les cartes et créé les VMKernels, dans la Mise En réseau on peut voir toute la config des cartes réseau.
